Who we are

We are the controller of the personal data collected on this website.

What we collect

• From the form: your name, phone / WhatsApp number, and what you ride now.
• Added by the page: the language you used, the numbers you put in the savings calculator, and the ad or link that brought you here.
• Technical: your IP address and the time you sent the form.
• If you message us on WhatsApp: your number and the messages you send. WhatsApp is run by Meta under its own privacy policy.

Why we use it

• To call or message you about renting a bike, a test ride, or the founding offer.
• To plan how many bikes and stations we need.
• To see which ads bring riders to us (only if you accept cookies).

Legal basis

• Steps before a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)): when you ask us to reserve a bike or contact you.
• Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)): for ad cookies (Meta Pixel). You can change your choice any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page.
• Legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): keeping the site secure and stopping spam.

Cookies

The page stores your language and your cookie choice in your browser. These are needed for the page to work.

If you tap OK, the page loads the Meta Pixel. Meta then receives that you visited, which buttons you tapped and whether you sent the form, so we can measure our ads. If you tap No thanks, the Meta Pixel does not load.

The stations map loads map pictures from OpenStreetMap, and fonts come from Google Fonts. These services see your IP address when they send the files.

Who we share it with

• Our website and email hosting providers, who store the data for us.
• Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd — only if you accepted cookies, or if you contact us on WhatsApp.
• Our payment provider, if you pay the €50 reservation online. They handle your card; we never see the card number.
• No one else, unless the law requires it. We never sell your data.

Some of these providers may process data outside the EU. When they do, they use the safeguards required by GDPR, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

If you do not rent a bike, we delete your form details after 12 months. If you rent, we keep what the rental agreement and the law need, for as long as they need it.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to limit or object to how we use it, or to get a copy. You can withdraw your consent any time. Email zen@swap-e.com. We reply within one month.

You can also complain to the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection, Cyprus — dataprotection.gov.cy.
